Here at SKYE INK we want to do our part to protect the environment. We use eco-friendly materials to reduce our plastic waste consumption, and Vegan tattoo ink and aftercare products to keep ourselves and our clients' bodies free from animal products.

+ How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

Remember to EAT well before your appointment and stay hydrated. If you feel queasy during your tattoo, TELL US and we will stop tattooing immediately. Do not come in for a tattoo if you’ve been walking around in the Miami heat all day on an empty stomach. We want to keep you safe! If you need a break during your tattoo, let your artist know, they will not be offended.

We recommend not partying the night before. Alcohol can increase bleeding, which dilutes the tattoo ink and can affect the appearance of your tattoo, as well as the healing process.

Everything will be ok! Don’t be nervous, we’ll take good care of you.

+ Does it hurt?

Yes! But you’ll learn to love it. Some areas hurt less than others, either way prepare yourself. Eat before and don’t forget to drink water.

+ How much does a tattoo cost?

All of our tattoos start at $150. The price will vary depending on the artist, how large the piece is, how much detail and work goes into it, and how many hours it will take to complete.

+ How can I pay?

We accept cash and/or credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover). No checks. To book your tattoo appointment in advance, we charge a deposit of $100, to be applied to the final session of your tattoo.

For example: if you’re getting a full sleeve tattooed, you will pay for each session as you go, and your final session will show a credit of $100.

Please be advised, deposits are refundable with 48 hours notice.

+ What is a walk-in appointment?

Walk-in means simply that! If you have the sudden urge to get tattooed, stop by the shop and we’ll do our absolute best to accommodate you!

+ Is there a charge for consultations?

NO! Come on in! We're here to help.

+ How long does a tattoo take to heal?

If you take care of your tattoo as advised by The Studio and your tattoo artist, it will take two weeks to “heal”. Generally speaking, the skin can take months to regenerate. See Tattoo Aftercare.

+ Do you do cover-ups?

We all make mistakes sometimes! Stop by the shop or send us a photo and show us what you're working with!

+ Can I get a tattoo/piercing if I have a health condition?

Our goal is to keep our clients safe, please check with your doctor if you have any concerns about an exisiting health condition. Please note, if you are taking blood thinner medication, are breast feeding or pregnant you may NOT get a tattoo or piercing. If you have a heart condition please let us know.

+ What forms of I.D. do you accept?

We accept Drivers Licenses, Passports, and any other Government Issued IDs.

+ What is the minimum age to get tattooed?

In Florida, the minimum age to get tattooed is 18. 16+ may get tattoos with a parent present and must bring proper identification and notarized forms. Reach out to us if you need these.

+ What is the minimum age to get a piercing?

In Florida, minors may get pierced with a parent/guardian present and must bring proper identification and notarized Florida Minor Tattoo Consent Form. This can be found on Google. Our shop policy requires piercing clients to be at least 13 years of age.

+ How much is a piercing?

We charge based on body location, reach out to us for our piercing prices. All of our jewelry is 14K Solid Gold jewelry.

+ I just got pierced, how do I take care of it?

We will provide you with a saline solution spray that you'll use twice a day. You must wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing. You can use a q-tip or gauze to gently dry the area and leave it be! DO NOT go into any pools or lakes. DO NOT turn your jewelry. DO NOT use neosporin, bactine, or alcohol. DO NOT pick off any dried blood. Use caution at the beach, with your hair and hair products, makeup, shampoos/soaps, headphones, clothing, etc... DO NOT sleep on your piercing.

+ What kind of piercing jewelry do you use?

We use only 14K Solid Gold piercing jewelry! Stop by the studio to check out our selection of studs, nose rings, and belly rings!

+ Why is my piercing taking so long to heal?

Piercings take several months and sometimes 1 year to fully heal. Your healing journey can be based on many things! Are you taking care of it? Are you picking off dried blood? Do you sweat a lot? Every body is different and some people heal faster than others! Keep it clean and then don't touch it!
